JOSEPH O’MARA HAS BEEN R.O.T.C. SPARTAN TRAINED BY THE U.S. ARMY AND STUDIED HOLISTIC YOGA AT WESTERN STATE UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO.
Joe has been teaching yoga, and group fitness in the OC for the last decade. As well as managing a few health clubs by the water. Passion for the industry that helps humans achieve a higher quality of life is the main driving factor that gets him out of bed in the mornings. From holistic nutrition to the PDT smart suits, anything that will aid in life’s function this man will bring it to the masses.
GREGG HAS BEEN A TRAINER FOR MULTIPLE GENERATIONS OF FITNESS.
Not only does he keep up with the latest in fitness techniques, he has pioneered the H.I.L.I. program (High Intensity Low Impact) training which offers phenomenal results with a minimum of training injuries! Gregg Has been directly involved in the fitness industry from Sales to ownership for the last 29 years. He Brings multiple club management skills , from serving as a District Manager for some of the largest fitness chains in the world, to owning and operating fitness boutiques and Studios. Gregg is truly excited to bring the Nuzuna Fitness Technology to the public! “We practice what we preach!”

WENDY NGUYEN GRADUATED FROM CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY OF FULLERTON WITH A BS IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION WITH A FOCUS ON FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING.
She also graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) with a degree in Fashion Design.
In addition to the beauty industry, Nguyen has always had a passion for health and fitness.
Her extensive experience in manufacturing, branding, and design has given her the ability to develop valuable products for the market. Nguyen’s passion is to help others look and feel great.

ANGIE DUONG GRADUATED WITH MAGNA CUM LAUDE IN 2019 AS AN ECHOCARDIOGRAPH TECHNICIAN.
At a very young age, Duong was always interested and had a strong passion for fitness and health. Duong was a full-time echocardiograph technician until she stumbled upon the Electro Muscle Stimulation (EMS) Training Technology. Major internal and external health benefits and visible results from training with the EMS Suit had her completely shifted her career and became a full-time employee at Nuzuna Wellness Centers. Duong is currently working on attaining her Personal Training certification at Orange Coast College. Duong’s intention is to influence one soul at a time and helping every individual to be committed and consistent with their fitness journey.
Duong has an upbeat attitude and is highly ambitious with strong leadership skills. Duong supervises the daily activities of the team to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of quality service to clients

BRAD GRADUATED FROM CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY, LONG BEACH STATE (CSULB) IN 2002 WITH A DEGREE IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION.
He knew he wanted to eventually start and operate his own business that would help others achieve their wellness goals. After exploring many options, Brad decided to get his personal trainer certification from ISSA and open up his own private training studio in Huntington Beach, CA. Over the last decade, Brad owned and operated three gyms locations in Orange County, and oversaw 40+ independent personal trainers each with their unique training styles. He built a loyal following and sought after client/trainer community culture within each of his gym locations.

Always being passionate about health and wellness, Carol instantly fell in love with yoga from day one back in 1995. From then on, she became an assiduous yoga practitioner, realizing that it not only made her feel better on a physical level. Doing things she wouldn’t image she could do and connecting with her daily life on a spiritual and mental level. In 2015, she felt the need to share what she has learned throughout this venture with the people around her and that’s how she decided to take a step forward to officially become an yoga instructor. teaching and helping others to become more proficient in her practice became her new passion. Combined with her 17 years of LPN experience, as the mother of three, and grandmother in addition to 10 years building a law office with her husband, Carol brings a diverse skill set combined with a unique business and health minded viewpoint to the Nuzuna Team.
CHARLES LAVERTY IS THE FOUNDER AND CEO OF NUZUNA ZONE FITNESS. MR. LAVERTY HAS FOUR DECADES OF SENIOR EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE BUILDING SUCCESSFUL COMPANIES IN AND OUTSIDE OF FITNESS AND HEALTHCARE.
His executive leadership roles include leading Advanced Bifurcation Systems, Imagyn Medical Technologies, InfusionCare, Foster Medical and others through periods of great change. Laverty is well regarded as an expert on innovation in the medical device and fitness industries.
While Chairman and CEO of Curaflex Health Services Charles Laverty was named Inc. Magazine’s Turnaround Entrepreneur of the Year for all United States Companies. The award was presented by Merrill Lynch, Inc Magazine and Ernst & Young.
Stephen Shapiro, MD
CHAIRMAN AND MEDICAL DIRECTOR
STEPHEN J. SHAPIRO M.D, FACS IS A BOARD-CERTIFIED GENERAL SURGEON. DR. SHAPIRO COMPLETED HIS SURGICAL TRAINING AT CEDARS SINAI MEDICAL CENTER IN LOS ANGELES.
He was Clinical Chief of Surgery at that institution for many years and possesses advanced knowledge of laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Shapiro has lectured around the world about laparoscopy. He is the author of 30 peer-reviewed scientific papers and has authored seven different book chapters.
Dr. Shapiro has an interest in surgical devices and started Advanced Surgical based on several of his patents. He is also the founder of several other medical companies and continues his interest in medicine and business.
Raymond D Godeke
Vice President of Finance
WITH OVER FORTY YEARS OF MIDDLE AND SENIOR FINANCIAL AND OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE, RAY HAS WORKED IN A BROAD RANGE OF INDUSTRIES.
He has worked in the restaurant, foodservice, food processing/distribution, insurance/benefits administration, and health industries. These include publicly traded, private and charitable organizations such as Denny’s, inc., Foster Farms, Zacky Farms, The Word & Brown Companies, and most recently the California Scottish Rite Foundation.
Ray received his Bachelor Degree in Accounting from California State University at Fullerton after serving in the United States Marine Corps. He received his Masters of Business Administration from Pepperdine University and is a Certified Management Accountant.
JONATHAN EDDISON IS A RETIRED LAWYER WITH SUBSTANTIAL EXPERIENCE IN START-UPS AND COMMERCIAL TRANSACTIONS.
His main objective will be to manage outside counsel in various affairs for Nuzuna Zone Fitness.
GARY GOLTZ HAS DEDICATED MUCH OF HIS CAREER TO HEALTHCARE, FITNESS, AND WELLNESS.
In addition to building several healthcare companies, he is an 8th-degree black belt in judo. Goltz currently serves as President and CEO of the US Judo Association.
Goltz coached the US Blind Judo Team at the 1991 Tokyo World Championships and became a volunteer Defensive Tactics Advisor to the Los Angeles Police Department in 1997.
Goltz graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Rhetoric from the University of Pittsburgh. He also was the youngest person ever accepted to Pepperdine University’s prestigious Presidential and Key Executive M.B.A. Program.
MARTIN WEINSTEIN HAS DECADES OF EXPERIENCE WORKING IN MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS AND BRINGS HIS VAST EXPERIENCE TO THE NUZUNA BOARD OF DIRECTORS.
From January 1979 until March 1984, Mr. Weinstein was co-manager of the Risk Arbitrage Department of Salomon Brothers Inc, where the dollar value of investment positions frequently aggregated nearly $1 billion. While at Salomon Brothers, Mr. Weinstein worked closely with the Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Department in developing strategies for clients engaged in hostile transactions, valuing securities to be issued in M& A transactions, and advising clients on self-tenders, corporate repurchases, and market reactions to various transactions. He left Salomon Brothers in March 1984 to organize Comdisco Equities, Inc., the risk arbitrage and securities investment subsidiary of Comdisco, Inc. A New York Stock Exchange-listed corporation engaged primarily in the business of leasing computer equipment. Comdisco Equities was incorporated in March 1984 and commenced operations in April 1984, with $25 million in equity capital. Through profit generation and additional contributions, Comdisco Equities was managing over $300 million in equity capital on September 30, 1987, making it one of the largest independent securities trading firms. From April 1984 through August 2003 Mr. Weinstein managed Comdisco Equities and its successor firms. From 2003 through 2015 Mr. Weinstein was a managing director of TheOxbridge Financial Group an investment banking boutique.
