Nuzuna Fitness announced today that Mark Devenpeck has joined in the newly created position of Vice President of Yoga & Pilates. Mr. Devenpeck began his journey into wellness and healing at the age of 19 when his orthopedic surgeon took him aside and said “I don’t think we should do a fusion on L4 and L5 because you are young, your body could possibly heal with acupuncture, physical therapy and or chiropractic treatment.” So Mr. Devenpeck took the doctor’s suggestion and tried all those modalities and within a year his spine had healed. After his medical incident, he had shifted education path from pre law program at Cornell to economics degree with minors in dance and audio production. Mr. Devenpeck later partnered up with Mr. Campbell to open Triad Yoga & Pilates studio.
Mr. Devenpeck graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia and also received his BA in Dance at California State University of Long Beach. Mr. Devenpeck incorporates his therapeutic inspiration from his Dance mentors into the movement aspect of yoga. This includes the likes of Jayne Persch who is a cranial sacral therapist and Eugenia Wacker Hoeflin from Ithaca College who had studied Alexander Technique. His certification in Thai Yoga was an important step in hands on adjustments. His approach to mindfulness has become a central point to his teachings.
2020 would bring about an unprecedented year. At Triad Yoga & Pilates, Mr. Devenpeck and Newton Campbell would spearhead an online platform where all teachers had a standard audio and video quality for all their classes. Now into 2021, he is extremely excited to be a part of Nuzuna. It has been a lifelong dream of his to work for a company with a team that has so much integrity, passion, and drive for wellness and success.

I was a dancer in highschool and have always had a passion for creativity and movement. I began my fitness journey when I enlisted into the United States Marine Corps. Yoga has been a huge part of my life since I was 15, it has brought true balance and perspective to my life. I would describe my teaching style as dynamic and inspired! My favorite style (if I had to choose) would be a hot juicy vinyasa flow, however I love teaching Yin and restorative classes spreading peace and love.
